Panamoure was asked to create a bespoke approach to deploying GenAI technology into the client facing and operational workflows of a blue-chip communications consultancy.

What were the challenges?

The emergence of GenAI technology showcased the ability of AI to disrupt the business of content generation: a core competency of our client. The board recognised that a strategy was needed if the firm was to remain a leader in its field.

  • Employees were already using GenAI tooling (Chat GPT & Gemini) without any formal governance
  • Clients were asking for advice on GenAI usage in communications
  • Leading agencies were showcasing their GenAI capabilities in competitive pitches 
  • Start-ups with a GenAI ‘go to market’ proposition were emerging
  • The board lacked a formal view of the impact GenAI could have on its business and were effectively ‘flying blind’
  • The COO was concerned that automation of tasks routinely carried out by associates would reduce the pool of talent available for promotion into managerial positions
  • The firm lacked a model that described the businesses capabilities in a systematic and repeatable manner

So, what did we do?

  • A discovery process interviewing staff at every level of the business informed the building of a bespoke capability model that described the business end-to-end
  • Each workflow was broken down into sub-tasks that aligned with the potential for amplification or transformation using GenAI technologies
  • A review of existing technologies and platforms across the business revealed the AI roadmap for existing and potential tech suppliers
  • A roadmap connected the AI enhanced To-Be processes with specific technology capabilities and set out the sequencing for deployment
  • A high-level governance model set out the initial framework required to safely deploy and govern AI across the business
  • Panamoure created a blueprint for deploying, monitoring and advancing MS Copilot across the business
  • A detailed business case set out the investment needed across the business with associated KPIs linked directly to AI enabled workflows
